Scott has been working in the electrical industry since 1977. He began his involvement in the electrical field at a young age as an electrician, obtaining an Electrical Journeyman License in 1982. He went on to study electrical engineering at Lawrence Technological University where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in 1987. His background in the trade provides him with a unique perspective that goes beyond just engineering design to an intimate knowledge of actual application.
Scott started Electra-Tech Services, LLC, an engineering/consulting business, in 1996 which became
ETS Engineering in 2001 when he brought on Doug Sayles as a partner. Over the course of his career, Scott has been directly involved with specialty lighting design and engineering for commercial, industrial and residential jobs across multiple industries. His portfolio of work spans a broad range of jobs including: automotive dealerships, churches, restaurants, nursing homes, commercial buildings, medical offices and heavy industrial projects. As President of ETS Engineering, Inc., his responsibilities include client relations, project management and educating the firm with updated code compliance issues and utility requirements.
