Scott has been working in the electrical industry since 1977. He began his involvement in the electrical field at a young age as an electrician, obtaining an Electrical Journeyman License in 1982. He went on to study electrical engineering at Lawrence Technological University where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in 1987. His background in the trade provides him with a unique perspective that goes beyond just engineering design to an intimate knowledge of actual application.

Scott started Electra-Tech Services, LLC, an engineering/consulting business, in 1996 which became ETS Engineering in 2001 when he brought on Doug Sayles as a partner. Over the course of his career, Scott has been directly involved with specialty lighting design and engineering for commercial, industrial and residential jobs across multiple industries. His portfolio of work spans a broad range of jobs including: automotive dealerships, churches, restaurants, nursing homes, commercial buildings, medical offices and heavy industrial projects. As President of ETS Engineering, Inc., his responsibilities include client relations, project management and educating the firm with updated code compliance issues and utility requirements.

Douglas M. Sayles
PE, LEED-AP, Principal

Doug has been working in the design and construction industry since 1987 after obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Michigan Technological University. Prior to joining ETS Engineering, Inc., Doug spent 14 years in management and consulting positions working for large Detroit A/E firms.His background includes experience in managing both the mechanical and electrical aspects of jobs. As Vice President of ETS Engineering, Doug is responsible for project management and project review, client relations and technical and specification standards for the company.

At ETS Engineering, Doug is primarily involved with educational facility projects, libraries, commercial and public facilities and alternative energy projects.

Doug is registered in 11 states and is a member of NCEES.

Brian C. Wilt
EE, Project Engineer

Brian C. WiltBrian has been with ETS Engineering since its inception. He received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Lawrence Technological University in 1999 and has worked in the A/E construction industry since 1996, including 3 years working for a mechanical engineering firm prior to joining ETS.  In addition to a strong electrical engineering background, Brian has been exposed to a wide variety of work experiences including: Thermal Sciences, Plumbing, HVAC, and Environmental Engineering. This unique blend of experience provides Brian with a strong understanding of the interactions between the different building engineering systems.  As Project Electrical Engineer for ETS Engineering, Brian’s responsibilities include engineering design and project management, as well as, lighting photometric calculations, arc-flash calculations, specification and code compliance review.  Brian has held the position as lead project engineer on nursing home facilities and has become well versed in the specialized needs and Michigan code requirements for senior living facilities. Brian is adept at using building information modeling software including REVIT and AutoCAD.

Kelly SucaetKelly joined ETS Engineering in 2014 and has worked in the fields of Architecture and Engineering since 2010.  She received an Associate’s in Architecture Technology in 2006 from Ferris State University and a Bachelor’s in Architecture from Lawrence Technological University in 2010 which included spending one month abroad in France.   In addition to architectural design and AutoCAD experience, Kelly also has experience in kitchen design, appliances, and general home improvement and has completed the AGI Lighting Software Level I training.  As AutoCAD Draftsperson for ETS Engineering, Kelly’s responsibilities include CAD Drafting and Lighting Photometric Calculations.

Carla Leo
Office Manager/Marketing

Carla joined ETS Engineering in June of 2010 to assist with office management and sales and marketing for ETS. She has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Lawrence Technological University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Wayne State University. Prior to joining ETS Engineering, Inc., Carla spent more than 20 years in corporate marketing and advertising positions holding executive level positions for companies including Kmart, Little Caesar Enterprises, Inc., FCB Worldwide and Handleman Company. Her current responsibilities include: sales and marketing, office management, billing and receivables.
